Well, I never though I would make from travelling such a passion, nor to become a blogger, but here I am, writing down my thoughts and feeling comfortable with it.
Trips have always been part of my life as I was lucky to have the best family ever with which I started to discover first my own country and then we reached new horizons. No, we were not rich and no, we were not staying in five-star hotels…we had nights spent sleeping in the car or camping with tent, we also choose very good places to stay when we found good deals. Having journeys every summer became actually our tradition, it helped us spend time together, make the world stop and enjoy little moments.
Of course, after growing up, I started to travel by myself or with friends. What helped me a lot to see the world from a different perspective and made me understand why I am so attracted to other cultures, other countries issues or beauties was being an AIESEC member. When I started university I wanted to do something special, I wanted something more from myself than adapting to routine, so I searched for a student NGO to suit my desires…and I found it. Not only it helped me develop my skills, but also to develop others. The most important “independent” travel I had so far was through an exchange experience with AIESEC in Egypt. It was challenging as it was my first time out of Europe, because I went all alone there and because I was for the first time in the position of an English teacher as a volunteer. In the end it turned in the best choice I ever done as I found there a group of warm hearts, I experienced the cultural shock that I needed to “open” my eyes even more and of course visited places I never dreamed I would see.
